Many vehicle manufacturers recommend that you book a car air conditioning refill and recharge approximately every two years. Please be advised that this is not part of your cars annual MOT inspection and quite often is often not looked during a regular service. Bearing this in mind you may want to make a note in your calendar , to arrange an air con refill and recharge.

How can i tell that somethins is needed? You may be able to tell if your air con needs recharging if it only blows out warm air or cool instead of cold air. How Does An Air Con Regas Work?

In general the car air conditioning recharge process is fairly quick and simple. Our technicians will remove any old refrigerant gas and oil from the system before replacing it with new gas and any required lubricant, as recommended by your car’s manufacturer. We would also perform a leak test to make sure that there are no cracks or damage in the air con system itself which could cause the gas to leak out. Some customers have had their air con regassed one week only to find it stops working the next- this is usually because there was an existing leak that was not spotted.

How long does it take?

The whole process should take no more than an hour , dependent on the model of car and amount of gas required and additional services you may request.
